NATURE OF WORK: Respond to medical record requests received via fax, mail, phone, or at the patient window. Prepare patient records for release as appropriate and within HIPAA and Fairfield Memorial Hospital guidelines. Coordinate patient record availability to other departments for patient care and follow up appointments. Perform all tasks with a focus toward accuracy and efficiency. Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required; one year of college preferred.
Experience: Previous experience in medical office preferred. Knowledge: Medical terminology, Microsoft Office Products
Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work both independently and as a team member.
