EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS:

· Must be currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Illinois.

· Current BLS certification required.

· Must obtain ACLS within 3 months of hire and PALS within 6 months of hire.

· TNCC and ECRN must be obtained within one year of hire.

NATURE OF WORK:

Provides professional nursing care within the Emergency Department and Urgent Care Clinic; coordinates care planning with other disciplines. Determines priorities of care based on physical and psychosocial needs of patients, as well as factors influencing patient flow through the system. Communicates with physicians regarding changes in the patient's status, symptomatology and results of diagnostic studies. Responds quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment.
