    Minimum Requirements:

    EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS:

    Currently Registered Nurse in the State of Illinois.

    EXPERIENCE: Experience with electronic medical record charting. Two or more years nursing experience preferred. BLS required. Willingness to obtain ACLS/PALS certification and maintain.

    SKILLS: Excellent communication skills, patient workup, medication administration and keyboarding. Excellent customer service, organization skills, an understanding of care in the urgent caresetting, and ability to work effectively in stressful situations.

    ADDITIONAL: Excellent attendance, punctuality and work record required. Office experience preferred.

    NATURE OF WORK: The nurse plays a vital role in extracting medical information and documenting such in the patient electronic health record to be used by provider for decision-making. The nurse will provide nursing support to urgent care patients through work up and assessment for walk in visits. Enter patient’s health history and history of presenting illnesses at each visit with updates to medications, allergies, and family history. Assist provider with providing patient education or instructions. Administer medications per provider order by oral, subcutaneous and intramuscular route. Stock and maintain nursing supplies in exam rooms. Work as a medical team with providers and other nurses to deliver exceptional care. The urgent care nurse assist providers with office procedures, and carry out provider orders. Notify patient of results and assists with medication management.
