    Outpatient Clinical Nurse Supervisor
    Department: Horizon Healthcare
    Minimum Requirements:

    EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS:
    RN Illinois Licensure required.

    EXPERIENCE:

    • Minimum two years nursing experience required.
    • Supervisory/Management experience preferred.

    SKILLS:
    Excellent computer keyboarding, customer service, organization and communication skills needed. Ability to work effectively in stressful situations through prioritization and multi-tasking as well as providing excellent customer service is important. Leadership and problem solving to support the daily needs of the physician/clinic.

    ADDITIONAL:
    Excellent attendance, punctuality and work record required. Continuing education certification such as ACLS,PALS,BLS and or Bachelor Degree a plus.

    NATURE OF WORK:
    The Outpatient Clinic Nurse Supervisor, supervises and evaluates nursing and medical assistant staff in all outpatient clinic settings to include primary care, urgent care, and surgical specialty.

    • Responsible for selecting, training, orienting, and assigning responsibilities for nurses and medical assistants within the outpatient clinic departments.
    • Prepares and distributes clinical support staff schedule and maintains staffing within budget.
    • Engages in continuous education on electronic health record software and participates in leading nurses/medical assistants as updates and changes occur.
    • Maintains open communication with all medical staff members, Outpatient Clinic Manager, Patient Access Specialist Supervisor, Director of Clinical Services and other department leaders/senior executive leadership team members.
    • Works with Outpatient Clinic Manager on budgeting for medical equipment and/or other budget decisions relevant to patient care in the clinic setting.
    • Participates in medical staff and staff meetings and conducts regular clinical support staff meetings.
    • Develops, implements, and reviews annually policy and procedures related to nursing/clinical support staff.
    • Leads medical/clinical staff in quality initiative efforts and addressing protocols for health maintenance.
    • Provides reporting on quality measures required by CMS or other entities. Performs other duties as assigned.
