    Minimum Requirements:

    EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS

    • Required: Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, arts, healthcare administration, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Preferred: Advanced degree in nonprofit management, healthcare administration, or related discipline.

     

    EXPERIENCE

    • Required: Three to five years of progressively responsible experience in nonprofit development, fundraising, or financial management.
    • Preferred: Experience with donor management software (e.g., Raiser’s Edge, DonorPerfect) and modern fundraising technologies.


    SKILLS

    • Strong leadership and financial acumen.
    • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
    • Ability to represent the Foundation in public forums with professionalism.
    • Strategic planning and organizational management expertise.
    • Proficiency in donor management systems and fundraising technologies.

    NATURE OF WORK
    Fairfield Memorial Hospital is seeking a part time Foundation Director scheduled at 20 hours per week with a flexible in-person schedule. The Foundation Director provides strategic leadership and administrative oversight for the Fairfield Memorial Hospital Foundation. This role is responsible for planning, organizing, and directing fundraising activities, cultivating donor relationships, securing grants, and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations. The position advances the hospital’s mission by engaging the community, managing financial resources, and supporting the Foundation Board of Directors.
     

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Develop and implement annual and long-term fundraising strategies, including major gifts, memorial gifts, endowment campaigns, capital drives, and planned giving vehicles.
    • Cultivate and steward relationships with donors, corporations, and community partners to secure charitable contributions.
    • Lead donor communications and organize special fundraising events to increase visibility and revenue.
    • Monitor grant opportunities, oversee proposal development, and ensure timely reporting.
    • Manage donor records, financial reporting, and revenue distribution in collaboration with the CFO and Foundation Board.
    • Represent the Foundation in public forums and build partnerships with local businesses, civic groups, and organizations.
    • Support Foundation Board governance, budget development, and compliance with laws and bylaws.
    • Provide regular fundraising performance reports to the CEO and Foundation Board.
    • Ensure compliance with IRS regulations, state solicitation laws, and ethical fundraising standards.
    • Additional duties as assigned.
