Nature of Work: Under the direction of the Chief Financial Officer, the Controller is responsible for motivating and leading employees to accomplish organizational and departmental goals, achieve high levels of production in all areas, and maintain high work standards. The Controller is responsible for accurate general ledger postings and reconciliations, payroll preparation, rules, and regulations, and assists the CFO in preparing the annual budget. Additionally, the position will assist in preparations for annual audit and cost reporting.

Education: Associate degree required. Bachelor's degree preferred.

Experience: A minimum of two years experience in a similar position in Accounting within a hospital or health system. Must have effective communication skills and be detail-oriented. Working knowledge of accounting principles and GAAP required..

Skills: Team player willing to assist in meeting organizational goals. Excellent keyboarding, communication skills and customer-oriented in approach to others. Ability to work in a fast paced environment required.

Requirements: Excellent attendance, punctuality and work record required. Self-motivated in setting goals for receivables and streamlining processes. Ability to plan and prioritize one’s own work in addition to the work of others.
