Fairfield Memorial Hospital has donated an Enthermics Blanket Warmer Cabinet to Cancer Care Specialists of Illinois for use in their clinic located in Suite D of the Fairfield Memorial Hospital Medical Arts Complex. This particular blanket warmer heats up to 25 blankets at a time and uses WarmSafe technology to heat blankets efficiently and quickly at precise temperatures.

"We greatly appreciate the generosity from Fairfield Hospital for the donation of a blanket warmer for our patients.  We're very fortunate to have such a great working relationship with the hospital that they want to help our patients." stated Gibran Mahmud, MD.

Cancer alone is daunting and the treatment can be exhausting and overwhelming.  By donating the blanket warmer FMH hopes to make the process for receiving chemotherapy more comfortable for patients by providing quiet warmth for them.

“Many families struggle every year with a loved one fighting cancer. The treatment alone can be such a difficult process for the patient. When we decided to purchase a blanket warmer for Cancer Care we saw it as an opportunity to work together. Cancer Care has brought their healing hands and hearts to our community and we are so thankful for them. We hope this gift of comfort will help to provide some sense of comfort to cancer patients during their treatments.” stated FMH CEO Katherine Bunting-Williams, Ph.D., LNHA.
