Skilled Care Unit - Activities Director - Full Time

Status: Full-Time; Non-exempt

Shift/Hours of work: Days; Approximately 40 hours per week

NATURE OF WORK:  Plans, organizes and participates in occupational, recreational, intellectual, religious, diversional, reality orientation and motivation activities.  Selects activities suited to each person's physical capacity and interests, in order to improve the general physical condition and aid in mental rehabilitation.  Utilizes computer software for documenting in charts, creating activity plans, and maintaining records for regulatory bodies.

LICENSE AND CERTIFICATION:  Activities Certificate Preferred or be willing to obtain certification within 180 days of hire.

REQUIREMENTS

Education:  High School diploma or equivalent.  Post-high school education in related area (Approved course offered in Activities that is recognized by the Illinois Department of Public Health).
