FMH Announces Appointment of Mary McCulley as Director of Clinical Services
Fairfield Memorial Hospital is pleased to announce that Mary L. McCulley, RN, BSN has accepted the position of Director of Clinical Services, bringing more than 22 years of dedicated service and leadership to the role.
As Director of Clinical Services, McCulley will oversee clinical operations with a focus on delivering the highest quality of patient-centered care while optimizing the patient experience. This senior leadership role serves as a transformational driver within the organization—supporting providers, department managers, supervisors, and front-line staff to ensure excellence across all levels of care. The Director of Clinical Services also plays a key role in community engagement, strengthening partnerships that support rural health access and collaboration.
McCulley will additionally participate in administration on-call duties on a rotating basis, supporting hospital operations, encouraging a culture of safety, and aligning patient care practices with evidence-based guidelines and performance improvement goals. This role directly supports clinical departments in achieving strong patient outcomes, staff engagement, retention, and service growth while promoting financial stewardship through efficient and cost-effective operational strategies.
McCulley began her nursing career at Fairfield Memorial Hospital in 2003 and has since served in numerous leadership roles including Med/Surg/ICU Manager, House Supervisor, Nurse Manager for Family Practice Clinics and Urgent Care, Clinical Practice Coordinator/Educator, and Utilization Review Nurse. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Western Governors University and brings extensive knowledge of both hospital and clinic operations.
Reflecting on her new role, McCulley shared:
“I enjoy what I am doing now, but I feel that my talents can be better utilized throughout the organization. I understand healthcare as a whole and how processes can either negatively or positively affect each unit involved. I am dedicated to FMH and Horizon Healthcare, and I want to see a successful organization for years to come. My hope for this position is to spread positivity throughout the organization, encourage employee engagement, bridge gaps that may be present, and assist with process improvement to enhance communication facility-wide.”
Fairfield Memorial Hospital is excited to welcome McCulley into this key leadership position and looks forward to her continued impact on quality care, patient satisfaction, and organizational growth.
