Fairfield Memorial Hospital honors an employee each month who has been nominated by their peers for providing extraordinary patient care and customer services within and outside of the Hospital.

Rebecca Young, LPN, who works as a nurse in Fairfield Memorial Hospital Urology Clinic, was selected as the October 2023 Employee of the Month. Rebecca has been with Fairfield Memorial Hospital since November of 2022.

“Rebecca’s knowledge of her specialty has been instrumental in the success of this department. She shows up every day going above and beyond to maintain continuity of patient care. She understands the importance of taking care of the patient and their families. She has excellent nursing skills, is exceptionally hardworking, and is a great team player. She takes extreme initiative to finish tasks and to help others, not only in her department but in other departments as well. She is kind and compassionate to her patients and her co-workers. She wears her heart on her sleeve and gives her all to her patients and her work. Rebecca is most deserving of this award.” commented Raven Martin, RN, Director of Outpatient Surgical Clinics.

“Starting a new practice in a hospital comes with many new challenges and obstacles. When Fairfield Memorial opened its doors to Urology Services, we knew we had to build a team that could work together efficiently and effectively.  She consistently reaches beyond her normal job duties to do more. These qualities are the reason Rebecca has been named Fairfield Memorial Hospital’s October Employee of the Month.” stated FMH CEO Katherine Bunting-Williams.
