Nature of Work: Under the general supervision of the Dietary Manager and the Assistant Dietary Manager, the cook is responsible for the preparation of foods for patients, residents, and personnel. Responsible for maintaining high standards of quality food products and portion control, using standard recipes. Responsible for the appropriate quantities of food required to meet menu requirements. Responsible for filling trays for patients, residents, and employees using portion control.
Qualifications: Must be able to hear and distinguish normal sounds with background noise, ranging from conversational levels to high – pitched sounding alarms, Must be able to detect the smell of smoke, spoiled food, etc., Must follow directions and complete assignments, must be able to operate all types of food service equipment, and Excellent attendance and work record required. 1 Year Experience Preferred.
