Behavioral Health/Counseling Services

The Outpatient Behavioral Health Therapy program focuses on providing counseling services to individuals, couples and families, including children, teens, and adults. Those dealing with issues of anxiety, depression, family conflict, medical illness, and behavioral difficulties will benefit from the program, as well as those with a more severe mental health diagnosis.  A variety of interventions and coping skills will be provided, based upon individual treatment planning and agreed upon by the patient and the healthcare team.

Amy Barton, LCSW, has been providing social services to children and families for the past 20 years. Amy received her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale and then went on to obtain her Masters of Social Work with an emphasis on School Social Work and Child Welfare. Amy is a trained play therapist using play therapy techniques in her sessions. She utilizes the techniques of expressive art therapy for children.
