Cardiac Rehabilitation

Cardiac Rehabilitation is a medically supervised exercise program, which helps to improve the health and well-being of people who have certain types of heart problems. Entrance to the Cardiac Rehab program requires a physician order and a diagnosis of heart attack, angina, bypass graft, heart valve replacement or repair, or stent placement.

Cadiac Rehabilitation involves therapeutic exercise using various types of exercise equipment while supervised by an ACLS certified PTA and monitored by telemetry.

A multidisciplinary educational approach will be offered to provide needed referrals to hospital resources for diet, nutrition, importance of exercise, symptom assessment and knowledge about when to seek medical treatment and self care techniques.
