RESPONSIBILITIES: (include, but are not limited to):
Under the direction of the Laboratory Manager, coordinates activities of workers engaged in performing chemical, microscopic, and bacteriologic tests to obtain data for use in diagnosis and treatment of diseases. Assist the Lab Manager in assigning workers to duties and oversees performance of tests in fields of microbiology, chemistry, urinalysis, coagulation, hematology, immunohematology, and serology. Purchases or directs purchase of laboratory equipment and supplies during absence of Laboratory Manager. Reviews test results to ensure quality control. Performs phlebotomist and Medical Lab Technician/Technologist duties as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS: Education, Licenses, Certificates, and Registrations:
Qualifications identified by CLIA 88 Subpart-M, Sec.493.1462 (General Supervisor), completion of an accredited training program for Medical Laboratory and current registry as a Medical Technologist.
