PRN Security Guard

Status: PRN; 12 Hour Shifts

Fairfield Memorial Hospital is seeking experienced, positive individuals for our Security Team who are passionate about providing exceptional service to patients seeking safe and reliable access.

Nature of Work: Member of a collaborative team to ensure a safe and secure environment for our patients, staff, and the surrounding community while creating an exceptional customer experience. Monitoring alarm systems, video cameras and controlling access to the organization to ensure property and occupants are adequately protected against harm or loss by means of deterrence, detection, observation and reporting.  Observing for signs of crime or disorder and investigating suspicious activities or disturbances, producing and maintaining security related documents, reports, forms, and logs as directed.  Conducting security patrols and personnel/vehicle inspection processes and having knowledge of lost and found property and controlled property procedures.   Performing other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:

• High School Diploma/GED Required
• Two or more years of experience working in security, military, or law enforcement role.
• Retired Law Enforcement and Healthcare security experience preferred.
• Have the ability to monitor multiple screens and situations simultaneously.
• Be certified in CPR, First Aid and the use of an AED.
• Pass required background checks, required certifications, and trainings.
• Able to withstand the physical demands of the position, skilled in de-escalating situations, and be capable of responding quickly in an unpredictable emergency crisis situation.
• Frequent and prolonged walking, standing, sitting, and stooping, either indoors or outdoors.
